15.2 hh, bay gelding, 11 years old, ISH.
Kept on quiet yard with 5 other horses only, lives out all year, hacking & schooling only.
Area is swanley/ crockenhill/ Orpington - basically a stones throw from lulling stone golf course.
Free amazing hacking on the golf course. There is a great sand school too.
Looking for experienced adult- nobody under the age of 20 please.
Yard is off a country lane, there are no buses so person must drive/ have own transport.
Looking for somebody to do 2/3 days per week- can have Sunday morning or Saturday afternoon if you are looking for a weekend day.
Horse is 100% safe to ride, pretty much bomb proof. Hacks alone or in company. He gets on with all horses.
He was abused before I got him, so can try it on with new people/ people he doesn't know. Nothing mean, just "trying it on"- if you know your way around horses, & have good confident energy then there are no issues. If you are shy or timid then he doesn't like the "weak" energy. (He just tries to look mean by putting his ears back & tail swishing. If you say no & just carry on then he is fine). Easy to catch & comes over. Not the type of horse who likes to be groomed for hours- a quick brush is fine for him. He is a real beauty & a pleasure to ride. Just a squeeze to get into canter & will go as fast as you like with just a small 'whoa' to get him to stop, so not strong at all & never tanked off or bolted or anything.
i've owned him for 5 years. Used him for many horse outings, shows & charity events. Any other questions, just ask.
No payment required, bar £15 every 8 weeks as contribution towards trimming / farrier costs.
Thanks
